"I first began using Million Hairs in 2005 shortly after it began in business because it is a small salon that caters especially well for nervous or worried dogs. I walked a lovely Springer Spaniel at the time who was badly in need of a clip but she was extremely nervous and it was not unknown for her to snap if she was placed in stressful situations. I heard all sorts of horror stories from other dog walkers about overcrowded grooming parlours with loads of dogs all rammed in cages close to one another and having to wait for hours - this would have been very traumatic for this dog. After discussing her with her owners I contacted Jo Munn, the proprietor (and dog owner herself) and explained the situation. She said she would have a go and see how the dog went. Well, it was nothing short of miraculous the way she behaved with Jo and when she had her clip she looked absolutely stunning. For all subsequent visits she went in happily, tail wagging and not at all nervous or worried. I was amazed at the things she allowed Jo to do - I couldn't touch her ears, feet etc. without shivers and little growls but not so when she was with Jo Munn, she just took it all in her stride with no indication of stress whatsoever. I couldn't believe it was the same dog. Her owners were absolutely delighted and everyone commented at the park on how good she looked. This beautiful spaniel is dead now but I walk a very lively Jack Russell who I take on behalf of his owners for regular clips throughout the year - Jo also does his feet at the same time as he is walked on grass every day and they tend to need trimming. He comes out absolutely as smart as paint, smelling lovely and each and every time when we go he trots in with his tail wagging happily. I can't recommend Jo Munn and her assistant enough - reasonable prices, excellent service and above all a kind, caring and knowledgeable team. One last thing - you need to book up early because she is very much in demand - I book at least three months in advance so as to be sure she can fit him in!"
